18. You don’t need to do it all yourself

Jan 20, 2023

Hi, it’s Anne with SpiritRiver Coaching on the Go. Oh boy, I’ve been working really diligently on an event that I am putting together for my community, this community, and it’s working better than it’s ever worked before. Instead of me thinking I have to effort and effort on my own and achieve results, I have resourcefully opened myself up to connecting with everybody I know who might have some clues to what I need, and it’s really made my life beautiful. I am experiencing a lot of collegiality, a lot of co-creative energy with other people, people wanting to help, people wanting to be a part of what I’m doing. It’s giving me additional energy and it’s so much easier than the last time I did it, when I was efforting and efforting and I wasn’t taking advantage of the connectivity that we have as human beings.

And what I’m bringing this up for is we all have connectivity, and sometimes we think that every task, we have to do the tasks ourselves, that we’ve set a goal and we need to accomplish these things ourselves, and we then shut off the mechanism of our connectivity with all that’s around us. So if you have a task, a strategy could be to think about who might be able to help you with the task, instead of thinking that you have to claim all the glory, do it all yourself, who could help you? Who already knows, or who has already done what you’re about to do? Could you contact them, have they written a book, are they available?

A lot of mentors, a lot of people who’ve done something already, and even if they’ve written a book about it, they often like to share what they did or help somebody else do it. They like to share their knowledge and understanding, and I’ve been finding that to be true.

So today’s coaching is wrapped around not doing everything yourself, understanding that you’re connected to a much wider web of people, and even people that you might not know, people who have engaged themselves with your topic before, or your project before on another level, could be an incredible resource for you, so you don’t have to do these things from scratch.

So take advantage of the connectivity of the whole universe and the way that we’re all connected as social human beings, and reach out and get help from the broader group and make your life easier, and have fun along the way and make partnerships and make a community around yourself.
