333 Do You Get Caught In Analysis?

Nov 20, 2023 | Uncategorized

Hey, this is Anne with your Coaching On The Go.

We’ve been talking for a couple of weeks now about different things that present as FEAR.

Today I have the last category to present to you.

It’s analysis paralysis.

I don’t know if you’ve experienced this before, but whether you’re an analyzer or not, it’s quite easy to start loading the deck with so many details that you can’t move forward.

It’s a way to avoid the pain of possibly making a mistake in your decision.

Analyzers are well known for this.

They get bogged down in the details, the doing, instead of the being.

If this is you, it’s just another way that you can procrastinate or another way that you can be a perfectionist.

You can use excuses like, I’ve got to know all the details.

There are never-ending amounts of details.

I will go back to this again because I’ve said it many times in the last couple of weeks.

Highly successful people are decisive and it doesn’t take them long to make decisions.

Opportunities come and go every day and they can be made or broken by a couple of minutes.

Imagine the amount of time and energy that you spend digging up details if you get caught up in analysis paralysis.

It takes all this time to do the research.

Then pretty soon you have so many details that your mind is on overload.

That’s another way to avoid the possible pain of making a decision that didn’t work.

So let’s look into the fear of making a mistake and move you through so that you don’t have to get caught up in analysis paralysis, in creating a big pile of things that overwhelm your mind and shut you down.

Have a beautiful day.
