337 It Takes Courage To Be An Entrepreneur

Nov 28, 2023 | Uncategorized

This is Anne, with your Coaching On The Go talking about the leadership characteristics that it takes to have your own business, to step away, let go of the things that you’re doing that aren’t either working in your favor, or they’re not contributing to the direction that you’re going in.

Specifically, I’m talking about the courage it takes to be completely relying on your creativity and resourcefulness to operate your entire life and maybe the life of your family.

Today I want to talk about risk taking.

When I left my career as a teacher, I had to step into a world of trust and knowing in my capabilities.

I didn’t know how it was going to play itself out, what was going to happen.

However, I began to set up a situation to use my skill set.

It took some risk because I was leaving a job.

I could have taken a step down from where I considered myself to be and continued with the security of the job that I had, but instead, I chose to step out.

If you’re in this position, and you are either leveling up to another level in your business and there’s risk involved, or you’re looking to step away from something you’ve been doing for the money that you don’t enjoy and you’re looking to start increasing your own business to overtake everything else, I want you to know that risk is part of the game.

Risk is part of creating on a high level because there are always these fears of failure and uncertainty.

Business environments are dynamic and they can be unpredictable.

The beauty of capitalism is that a business will not thrive and continue to support itself if it doesn’t have a product that people are interested in getting enrolled in, getting behind in, and paying for.

You are in a system where you’ve got to become an attractive business.

How do you do that?

Well, I coach people into that.

I coach people to take what their aptitudes are and turn them into a coaching curriculum and business.

I also support people who already have a business through the leadership it takes to do that because they are under the pressures of risk and uncertainty.

I’m going to talk about some more of these things tomorrow.

You have to be adaptable.

So leadership characteristics I’m talking about today are stepping into trust or belief and certainty and avoiding others, the fear of uncertainty.

You’ve got to be resourceful and able to adapt to changes and make decisions, sometimes without complete information.

There’s always more information to be had.

It’s super important to be stepping into your knowing.

That’s what my Oti Wote retreats support people with.

They cause people to take time to release their need to control everything and instead, enjoy and listen and reap the benefits of how much comes to you once you do.

I’m here to support you and to cheer for you as you leave the certainties of doing some of the things that you’re not interested in any longer and stepping into the risk-taking and uncertainty that you get to experience when you operate your own business.

After I talk about the courage it takes, I’m going to talk about the benefits of running your own deal!

Have a beautiful day.
