344 You Are Creating A Legacy
Hey, this is Anne with your Coaching On The Go.
Lately, around me, I see people retiring and many of them are retiring in their 50s.
They are at the absolute top of their game, problem-solving and understanding how systems work in the field that they’re in.
They are experts and just letting all that knowledge drop to the ground.
What legacy are you interested in creating?
When we talk about the satisfaction of being an entrepreneur, one of the great satisfactions is that you are creating a legacy from within, and you’re impacting the world.
Entrepreneurs derive satisfaction from the impact that they have on their clients, their customers, their communities, and their industries.
You’re creating something.
You’re contributing something.
Tony Robbins talks about the six basic human needs that he saw as he worked with millions of people in the world.
And there are six.
One is the need for safety and security to keep things the same certainty.
Another is the opposite of uncertainty or the variety that causes you to be able to learn and grow and expand the need for love and connection.
The need to be significant or unique in the world.
The top two are spiritual.
One is growth and the other is contribution.
Entrepreneurship, being a business person, creating a business, ticks all those boxes.
It’s said that if even four of those boxes are ticked, you have something that you can get addicted to and focus on.
As I talk to you about the satisfaction of being an entrepreneur, of running your own business, impact, and legacy are powerful satisfiers.
You’re building something that lasts and becomes part of your legacy as it serves others.
Today, I want you to take a look at what you’re creating.
I want you to see what you have already created and where you’re taking it and feel the satisfaction in that.
You are generating the energy, the ideas, the source material for your own business, your livelihood, and your direction.
And that is affecting the people around you.
It’s affecting the world.
You’re creating a legacy.
Give yourself a big hug and honor the fact that you are courageous enough to learn from life and create something other people can be served with.
And why do I say all this?
Entrepreneurship can be challenging at times and scary.
I’m taking the time to lock in the deep satisfaction that we entrepreneurs get to experience so that when you’re in the tough times you can, you can not forget all the beauty you have attracted and continue to attract in your life in the form of challenge, engagement, expansion, and service from having chosen to be an entrepreneur.
Have a beautiful day.
