347 Removing The Glass Ceiling
This is Anne with your Coaching On The Go.
If you love being self-determining and where money is concerned, you love possibility, then entrepreneurialism is for you.
When I was a teacher, I felt a little bit like I was, you know, let’s say, in prison.
Because my income was capped, I would only make a certain amount more.
And when I actually was there enough years to be all the way over on the pay scale, the idea of the cost of living, at best increases per year was very unmotivating.
I was on the top of my game. I was a highly creative problem solver.
I created amazing experiences for students to learn and grow.
And to me, at the top of my pay scale, when I hit that, it was no longer compensating me for the give.
So I started to become disenfranchised with a set structure that had a cap on it.
I don’t like limitations. I love possibility.
So the first number of years after I left my teaching career and I was working for myself, I felt satisfied.
Even though I wasn’t making as much money I knew that I had the possibility to make that and more.
I loved the idea of an unbridled financial possibility.
So if you are an entrepreneur building or you’re thinking of completely opening yourself to entrepreneurship and having your own businesses.
One of the big benefits is this capless financial possibility.
And if you get good at running your own business, you have big tax deductions.
You can actually have a bigger life and have it look like you make less money.
There are so many beautiful possibilities that show themselves.
For the first many years that I worked for myself on paper, I made less money, but my life was better.
I had more freedom.
I had a lot of tax deductibility for things that I purchased.
And I was actually living a bigger life on less money on paper.
As I really mastered what I wanted to create and produce and how to get my product out there to the people who it could serve.
My income had continued to excel beyond what I made when I worked for somebody else.
And it’s really gratifying.
So it’s satisfying personally, and then it’s exciting because it’s full of possibilities that are never-ending.
And if you love that, that’s something that you can lock into when you’re facing the uncertainty of your next sale or your next level of service that brings the money to you.
What I’m doing in these weeks, is that we’re talking about the pros and cons of entrepreneurship.
Locking you into the big benefits of operating your own life as an entrepreneur in coming up with your own content.
In delivering what uniquely you have to deliver that people are already waiting for.
Have a beautiful day.
