458 How To Do More By Doing Less
This is Anne with your Coaching On The Go.
Your assignment today is to take one full hour and do something.
Go somewhere where you can completely relax between work sessions.
You have your calendar set for the day.
You have blocks of time in which you are working.
Take 1 hour in between a one or two-hour session, in the middle of your biggest two work sessions.
Physically go somewhere where your brain shuts down and your senses become alive.
Spend the hour there.
I don’t care what it is for you.
For me, it’s hiking, walking in the woods,
floating in the river at the bottom of the cliff at SpiritRiver, a paddle on my SUP.
If it’s the right time of day and there are no boats or distractions, I can completely be in another time and place.
That’s what I want for you today to practice.
At the end of your day, write about the productivity of the work session you had when you returned to work.
Make sure you return to work!!
Sometimes I’ve been known to go out on one of these explorations and not return.
So come back at the end of it and take notes on the experience.
Make notes on the depth with which you enjoyed the time off, and how it affected how you worked in the next work session.
The reason I’m doing this with you is to increase your productivity while you’re working.
It is not to slow you down for the week and take you out of the momentum we created the last couple of weeks.
The task here is to keep everything moving in the right direction and become more efficient and productive with your time.
Have a beautiful day.
