483 How To Create Ease With Flexibility

Jul 16, 2024 | Uncategorized

This is Anne with your Coaching On The Go.

I’m continuing to coach you on balancing accountability and flexibility in your personalized calendar, leaving space for rigorous work and inspired work, as well as, intuition, following hunches, and getting information from the energy and the world and creation around you.

Today I’m talking about the third tool, incorporating flexibility.

When you create buffers between your work blocks and non-work blocks, it allows you space so you don’t panic when the unexpected happens.

If you have a meeting run over or something takes longer than you would like, you don’t get flustered because you have built-in blocks of time.

Open or lightly-schedule time blocks also create space for unexpected opportunities and creative pursuits
.

Years ago, I had jammed my calendar so every second was being used.

I considered that efficient.

When anything went over, I was stressed out.

I felt like I was behind constantly.

Now I have flexible blocks for things to happen, as it did at SpiritRiver between my work sessions when I end up able to chat with my construction guy, have a shower at my neighbors with a root beer float, and get invited to a fish dinner.

All of that showed up organically and was seamlessly accommodated within my schedule in the middle of a workday!

Imagine the joy you can create for yourself when you get this ratio right in your calendar.

In addition, consider setting up free days witth minimal fixed commitments.

I use Friday as a free day.

When I have extra meetings or things that need to take place, I don’t feel stressed because Friday is open.

If I can’t fit it elsewhere, I can pop it in over there.

That’s a great day.

If my my partner and I want to go explore or make a three-day weekend, he and I can do that with that extra day.

Those of you who’ve been coaching with me for a while know that I have now built the last week of the month into my calendar as a free space.

I could take a trip during that time.

I could leisurely feel relaxed like I have extra time because that time is unstructured.

I could use it to catch up on something or immerse myself in a project.

So these are three simple tools amidst the bigger tool of incorporating flexibility into the calendar.

Review the highlights above listing these tools and incorporate them into the calendar.

As you know, your time not working is just as valuable or more, to the direction you take and how fast you get there.

Remember, you are a collaborative component of a creative universe.

The quantum field is constantly engaging with you and when you have that time, things fall into place like magic.

It feels like you have unlimited time because you’ve been a time bender.

If you’re going to go on a bender, go on a time bender!

Have a beautiful day and add flexibility to this calendar you are building for yourself.
