I feel compelled to spend more time talking with you about playing outside.

I can’t emphasize enough how powerful outdoor play is in the creative process and in life.

It’s you plugging into the conduit of all of Creation.

I don’t know if it’s because I was raised spending a lot of time outside that I understand it is connected to my creativity or if everybody understands that, but I am compelled to share more with you today.

Just for example, I’m sitting outside.

I walked out of my office, through my house, and outside.

I am going to paint a portrait with words and sounds for you of what I’m experiencing right now.

It’s a fall day.

The day I’m recording this, is a fall day.

It’s warmer than usual, unseasonably warm.

It’s very windy.

There are dry leaves blowing across the ground, and many that are still hanging on up above still changing color.

Some of the trees are bare, and some of the trees will be letting their leaves go later because of the species they are.

The sun is sending light dappling through the tree canopy of two trees that are above and in front of me.

The wind is creating a beautiful sound that’s muffling most of the distracting sounds I could be hearing from an industrial park across the street.

When I hear a truck or motorcycle go by, it may distract me for a moment, but then I’m enthralled and engaged once again with the leaves, trees, and motion of the branches, the way the sun is casting light and creating colors on the leaves.

There is quite a difference between the energy inside my home and the sounds and energy outside my home.

This is why I have a very difficult time staying in my house.

I am called out into the energy of creation regularly.

It is in that energy where I get powerful hunches, ideas, next steps, inspiration, and the collaborative communication that is sent out constantly from our past loved ones, which I feel (my concierge team in the sky), the quantum field, nature, Creation, God, God-force.

Call it what you will.

I don’t care what you call it.

You decide because it’s your relationship.

This is the most powerful communication I experience in my life, the communication I have with the natural world, as the collaborative field is showing itself through nature, God showing itself, herself, himself, itself through nature.. .to me.

It is in this space where I let go my need to control what I’m thinking about.

I get into sensing. And it’s in the sensing, where I get answers, in collaborative communication, on what I’m working on inside my office or on a drawing.

When I took people at the Otiwote Experience, out into nature, particularly at this last retreat, they were in the middle of a creative project.

While outside, they receieved powerful hunches as to what they should be creating, and things changed and shifted.

Their images changed and shifted.

Now that(the sound), for example, is a fire truck.

There’s a firehouse two doors down.

That can be a distraction.

You’ve got all sorts of opportunities for distraction.

And you’ve got opportunities to plug back in.

Outside here, this wind and the movement of all these branches and leaves and the energy that I’m feeling redirects back to a place of collaboration with creation.

I can’t send you to a better place to get answers for yourself, but you have to be open when you are sensing out there.

The beauty of it often is the perfect distraction that opens you to hearing, but then you have to know that you heard something.

You have to take that lead and run with it.

You have to understand it was meant for you at this moment, and it’s ripe and ready.

It’s not just a random idea that you thought with your mind.

It’s something that came through from outside of yourself, and it’s engaging with you.

That’s how I create with creation.
