71 Creating a Fresh New Moment

May 22, 2023 | Uncategorized

Hey, it’s Anne with your Coaching on the Go.

It’s that time of year in the Midwest, in the United States, where the grass becomes green again fairly quickly.

All of a sudden, trees that had no leaves have leaves, and they’re bright green.

First of all, their beautiful buds and flowers show up here and there, and then all of a sudden you have full sized leaves and there’s just a green mass on top of everything, and it’s gorgeous.

There’s newness that makes you want to start everything, get started.

There’s that freshness.

We can have that every day in our lives, that freshness.

You get to begin again any moment, every moment, new moment.

In fact, someone I really love and admire, she slaps her hands together and pulls her hands way out to a big stretch to the side and says, “New moment,” and she does that like this: new moment!

New moment!

That’s how you can have a new moment.

That’s how quickly, and you can create a motion within yourself to create that new moment.

But the freshness of spring, the freshness after a rainstorm, the newness of something that spontaneously happened, that’s all available to you any moment, at every moment.

New moment.

So how can you create that?

First of all, by acknowledging it.

Secondly, by understanding that you can disconnect, let go of everything from the past, and you can be freshly in the now.

You don’t have to be dragging this huge group of stock cars and train cars behind you, dragging it all with you wherever you go.

Or wagons, big wagons full of garbage that you feel like you have to be defending, that they’re you.

In fact, if you find yourself saying – “This is who I am, this is who I am. Well, that’s just me.” – if you find yourself making those statements – “This is how I operate.” – and those statements are locking you into something that you don’t love, those are clues that you’re keeping yourself from being freshly in the spring of the moment.

So how can you shift out of that?

Well, you can allow yourself not to be about your history.

That actually you are, and possibly can be, recreating yourself in any moment.

And you are.

You’re either recreating yourself as you were, or you’re opening the possibilities of what can be.

And this is really challenging.

Tony Robbins talked about this really well in a seminar, saying how we have a set point, like a thermostat within ourselves.

When the temperature goes too far above or too far below, we want to get it back to where it was, and that’s what happens with people’s weight.

They get used to being a certain weight and having the certain habits around the weight, and then even if they release it, if they don’t stay in transformation long enough to change the habit and to have the new habit become who they are, then they revert back to an earlier history and they just get that back.

It just comes right back very easily.

Same things happen with habits or stories, or things you say about yourself.

So to create real transformation, what are the ways of being that you would be standing in and operating in to allow yourself to grow, to become new, to do something you’ve never done before?

Think about that.

What ways of being… and I find this hard sometimes.

What is a way of being?

A way of being is joyful, confident, curious, resistant.

Those are all ways of being, and you get to choose which characteristics you want to show up standing in.

You’re not just born with your ways of being.

Some people will say, “I’m an optimist, I’m a pessimist.”

Those are decisions.

Those are choices.

If you don’t like it…

If you like the way you’re being, great.

If you don’t, what do you want to be now?

What ways of being can you influx into the way you’re living now, to add, so that you can become the next version that you want?

So as I embark on my investor proposal to expand the spiritual center… and I call it a spiritual center because when you step on the soil there, it’s spiritual.

It just is spiritual.

And it’s an environmental place, so it’s like it’s an environmental center, but it’s not an environmental center.

It’s really a retreat space.

It’s a restorative, restoration space for the spirit, for your being, for your authenticity.

It’s like as soon as you step on the property, it calls you to remember who you are.

So as I go to expand this space, to create lodging in an environment where you can have an incredible, powerful authenticity experience without leaving and coming and going, who do I get to be?

I’m getting to be open.

I get to be open to the possibilities of how it will happen.

Curious, playful, confident, in vision.

I get to be many, many things that I haven’t been for this particular project to happen.

I get to be these things in new ways, in expanded ways.

So if I’m sitting here saying, “Well, I’m this, I’m this, and I’m this,” that can be preventing me from becoming that.

So how open are you?

Are you willing to create a spring, a spring day, brand new in your life?

Are you willing to attract that energy that you feel in the spring of the year?

The excitement, the exhilaration, the playfulness, the connection to possibility.

You get to, today, think about what you can infuse, what you get to infuse into the ways you are showing up, the ways of being you are standing in so that you can step into your next incarnation, the next chapter of your incredible masterpiece.

Have a beautiful day.

Sending Love, sending a booster of curiosity, playfulness and possibility.

Have a beautiful day.
