This is Anne with your Coaching On The Go wrapping up two weeks of talking about the pros and cons of being an entrepreneur and the courage it takes to embrace challenges and uncertainties and how that’s often rewarded with a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your life and the lives of other people.

Growth and contribution are the spiritual aspects of what you need to feel complete as a human being.

The satisfaction that you get from building and growing something of your own is a powerful motivator for individuals pursuing their businesses.

So why have I been talking with you about this?

So many businesses derail.

They go bankrupt.

People drop the ball.

They just lose interest.

I’ve done it myself.

I had several viable businesses that I got tired of, frustrated with, or lost attention to.

I could pick them up now, but so much time has passed and there is an urgency.

They were solving a particular problem and they were pertinent to the time.

That could happen quickly to your current business.

Any business that you take your eye off of, that you forget why you’re doing it, that you lose your vision for, is vulnerable to going out of business.

I want you to take the things that we talked about in the last few weeks:

-Courage 

-Risk-taking 

-Uncertainty

-Embracing perceived failure

-Decision-making under pressure

-Criticism and Rejection

-Discomfort (of stepping out of your comfort zone)

-Persistence to face challenges

We’ve talked about the satisfaction, autonomy, and independence, the impact and legacy, the creative expression you get to experience, the learning and growth, flexibility for your work-life balance, financial possibilities, rewards, the joy and satisfaction of building a team and culture, setting your own trajectory, creating collaborations, and the fulfillment of passion and purpose.

Those are super high-level satisfaction points that entrepreneurs get to experience.

So when you look at all these, if you’re able to focus on the satisfaction more than the challenges, or if you’re able to turn all the challenges towards the creation of your vision and learn from them, you are going to experience the fantastic journey of entrepreneurialism with all of its deep-seated satisfaction.
