351 Did You Create What You Wanted To?
This is Anne with your Coaching On The Go.
As I head to the end of each year, I do this throughout the year at different increments when things are shifting from quarter to quarter, month to month, week to week, or day to day when I come to the end of a year, that’s a major opportunity for me to put closure on something and open a huge door to a fresh, new possibility.
This week I’m going to chat with you in a variety of ways, from inside my client community to the regular SpiritRiver community that’s just getting general emails, to walk you through this process of embracing opportunities and reflecting on the year-end journey.
As this year draws to a close, it’s a natural time for reflection and an opportunity to pause, review, glean insights, and celebrate the 365-day journey that you just traversed.
While you can sit and be introspective about it, and it can be deeply personal, there are incredible opportunities that present themselves when you actively engage in reviewing your year.
I do this annually and it’s exciting to me because it gives me a springboard for the next year.
Over the next few weeks, as we close out the year, I’m going to be encouraging you to explore the power of a year-end reflection.
I’m going to take you through the steps to do it.
I’m going to have a couple of workshops on it.
Today I want to talk with you about just reflecting.
When you reflect on your past year, it allows you to acknowledge your accomplishments and understand the challenges that you faced and the challenges that you continue to face so that you know what to do.
You know what support you need to get.
You know what you’re great at.
You can take advantage of your assets.
It’s a journey into self-awareness.
It’s going to provide you with insights into what you value, what you prioritize, what your aspirations are, and how your actions are either keeping you where you are, moving you slowly, or taking you backward, (You really can never go backward), or catapulting you towards your vision, or organically navigating you towards your vision.
I want you to start this journey today by just reflecting on this past year.
If you did a yearly plan with me, I want you to pull that out and just position it so you can start thinking about your intentions, what you had plans for, what you wished for, and what you created.
Because as we do this, this opportunity for reflection is going to guide you into all sorts of other tools and techniques that will help you end powerfully.
Have a beautiful day.
