
368 Want To Be Friends?
This is Anne. With your Coaching On The Go,
I have gone over seven different areas that would help you audit your past year.
I’ve asked you through calls to action, to note your challenged areas, and your struggle areas, and create new intentions for behavior, or to set up tools or to set up new possibilities out of what you discovered from this past year, that get to change.
Today’s topic is about setting clear intentions for that change.
Once you’ve identified the barriers or limitations that you had last year, you can set clear intentions for change.
Now is the time when you start developing strategies, and action plans, getting tools in place, and seeking support, coaching books, and resources to address whatever your challenges are so you can move forward.
If you’ve been in my program for a while, we’ve been working on these things.
You’ll notice that some similar challenges continue to come up as you go to your next level.
They’re always going to be there.
They’re part of your makeup.
They’re going to show up in different ways as you get to higher levels.
As you discover what they are and you recognize them when they show up like I do when my Mom calls me right before a big meeting, then they don’t derail you anymore.
You have strategies set up.
Your coping mechanisms become familiar friends.
“Oh, I’m stepping into the next level.”
This is a road sign that I’m about to step up.”
“I can see these couple behaviors that are showing up. They show up each time I’m just ready for my next level.”
“I’m excited that they’re showing up here. They are an indicator that I am close to my next level.”
I always look for the silver lining.
That’s what I do with my challenges.
I look at the repeating scenarios that come up each time I go to expand to the next level.
I now see them as a good sign.
Because I’ve become friends with them, I know what tools to pull out, to engage with them.
They are more and more minor in my life.
They don’t pull me over to the side of the road like I have a flat and I have no way to change it.
Today’s coaching is about taking all the information that you’ve gathered in the last seven coaching segments.
I’ve talked with you about:
-reflecting on patterns
-assessing your setbacks and challenges
-examining your mindset and the beliefs you have
-evaluating your habits and behaviors
-seeking feedback
-considering external factors that you attract and how you handle those
-acknowledging emotional barriers
Now we’re taking all the information from that that you’ve taken notes on.
You’re using that to set clear intentions for the changes that you’re excited to make that are going to shift this next year and make it the most powerful year you ever had.
I know it’s a lot.
That’s why I have workshops wrapped around it for you.
