389 What Are Your Treats Doing For You?

This is Anne with your Coaching On The Go wrapping up ten sessions on treating yourself, indulgences, and overindulging.

The last category I want to talk about is short-term gratification versus long-term success.

When you treat yourself, you can provide immediate satisfaction.

If these treats aren’t aligned with your long-term goal, then they can hinder your progress.

Are your habits for caring for yourself or your habits that you do because you are rebelling from some things that happened in your childhood and you don’t want those to repeat themselves?

Are those taking their toll on your current life?

Are they good for you?

Are they healthy for you?

In my example of treating myself to certain foods, that behavior not going to take me to the next level of my vision.

I hope that when you’ve listened to these coaching segments – and you can go back over them – you’ve discovered some things that are keeping you from your next level locked in these behaviors.

Balancing self-treats or self-soothing with responsible, goal-oriented behaviors is essential.

When it’s important to enjoy your life and reward yourself, being mindful of the potential consequences and ensuring that your treats don’t become obstacles to your long-term success, your long-term big visions, is crucial.
