400 Why Your Constant Shifting Causes Problems
This is Anne with your Coaching On The Go.
Today I’m talking about something that can be my Achilles heel as a Promoter.
Practicing Patience and Persistence
I love solving problems and doing that quickly.
When you’re working on a long-term vision or even a short-term vision, creating a compelling vision takes time and effort.
You get to be patient with yourself, trust the process, and persist.
For example, I’m expanding my coaching business.
If I keep shifting too often after each attempt at a new system, I’m never going to have enough longevity with that particular idea to tweak it with intelligence.
I will create too many moving parts.
I’ve talked with a number of you in the last few weeks about feeling overwhelmed because you are trying to take advantage of so many opportunities that are presenting themselves.
Where is the cut-off for you?
How do you preserve your energy and focus and at the same time allow in the things that are being given to you because you’ve asked?
It’s a very interesting balance that you get to have and your vision gets to stay focused.
You get to practice patience and persistence with the things you’re choosing.
You get to allow yourself permission to not take everything.
Again, you can put your hand on your heart.
You can take deep breaths in and out and do the heart meditation.
For those of you who don’t know the heart meditation or for those of you who would like a little review, you start with deep breaths.
Put your hand on your heart.
Find your heartbeat.
Feel the great appreciation knowing that your heart has been beating since before you were born.
You’ve never had to ask it to beat for you.
It beats for you.
Spend 10 minutes or so with beautiful music on or no music.
Think about the most beautiful times in your life, perhaps a time that you were out in nature, and you saw something magnificent.
Take your appreciation for that, being there at that perfect time to see that,
and wrap that appreciation around your heart.
Think about another moment, perhaps one you shared with somebody that was precious.
Think about something you’re proud of, an accomplishment.
Thinking of loved ones that you have in your life and your appreciation for those loved ones., et cetera, et cetera.
Each time feel the great appreciation and wrap it around your heart.
Studies have revealed that your brain waves and your heart sink with one another.
When you’re done with that 10-minute heart meditation, you’re connected to yourself, and you can ask yourself if this particular opportunity is right for you.
Is this class that’s free on the path of taking you to your vision, or is it something you can pass on for now?
You get to be patient with yourself and respectful of your space and at the same time your focus on your vision gets to be strong and that will create persistence.
You get to be persistent.
I don’t like to say pushing forward.
You keep falling forward.
You keep navigating forward by taking your quiet time, taking your breaks, paying attention, visualizing, breaking things into pieces, keeping your vision private (except the goal-oriented parts. you can talk about), brainstorming, and staying inspired.
In this way, you continue to navigate towards your vision with persistence, not giving up, keeping you from the big wide sidesteps or big wide S curves that are taking you off your course.
But remember, however long it takes you to get there, it’s OK!
If your life takes you around and about, up and down, and over to the side, your life is preparing you to be aligned with your vision.
You are getting an opportunity to learn whatever you need to learn and experience what you need to experience to BE the woman or man who can enjoy that vision and be aligned with it.
There are no mistakes.
You get to take as long as you want.
If you want to expedite it, though, I’m here to help you.
Because why not create as much as you can during this life?
Have a beautiful day.
