455 Are You Willing To Let Go?

Jun 3, 2024 | Uncategorized

This is Anne with your Coaching On The Go.

I spoke to you last week about getting into the nitty-gritty of a declaration.

Today’s coaching is about the nitty-gritty of relaxing and unplugging.

When you schedule time off from work, processing, strategizing, and executing, how are you doing that?

I’m standing on a footbridge over a ravine that looks through a bunch of beech, maple, oak, and hemlock.

In the distance, you can see the horizon line made by Lake Michigan.

You can hear the birds.

It’s a Sunday morning.

There’s nobody around, no cars, no walkers.

It’s me, and it’s early.

I do this daily.

It doesn’t matter what day it is.

I get this super peaceful enrichment where I can listen.

What am I doing?

It’s almost like when you’re stretching a muscle, if you stretch that muscle for 30 seconds, it continues to release.

It starts with a certain level of release and continues.

You can stretch it further and release it further and further as you relax.

When you are in situations with a lot of activity, energy, and momentum, completely letting go takes time and happens in layers.

I challenge you this week to be mindful of your relaxation, your meditation, the times when you are not working.

How deep can you let go during those times?

I recently purchased a second phone and one of the reasons is so I’m not attached in the same way when I’m working and when I’m not working.

Just after I got the second phone, I started to become more efficient at work and non-work just because I had made that choice and stepped in that direction.

This week is about the rest and recovery that happens between the exertion.

I’m going to talk every day about this.

I started yesterday with habits and behaviors that imbalance, that are natural to your operating system, and how to begin shifting those.

I will drop something every day.

It’s not because I want you to stop working for the week.

It’s because when you’re not working, I want you to unplug so deeply that when you return to work, you are ready to let it rip!

Have a beautiful day.
