It’s about 09:00 at night.

I’m standing in the complete darkness except a little bit of a firelight at SpiritRiver.

I’ve been here for a number of days.

The weather has been perfect.

I’ve been preparing for the retreat that’s coming.

It’s been a crazy year.

As I’ve gotten towards the Otiwote retreat, it seems like all sorts of things are imploding, exploding, and changing.

I’ve also been in a twelve-week transformation process of sorts to get me keenly aware of who I am, my physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental, connecting with those aspects of myself.

I am having a rebirth.

When you are born again, if you imagine being born the first time, you come freshly into a new space.

It would make sense that the very structures I’ve created around myself, are being flipped upside down as I see who I am and as I allow myself to, on the most basic level, decide if my direction feels right or not.

I don’t know about you, but when I have numbers of things in my life not work the way I thought they would, that is a clue to me.

Sometimes it’s a clue that I need to tidy things up.

When enough things happen in a row, it becomes evident to me that I’m being shown a new way.

So, a few weeks ago, I decided to get on board and pay attention.

Here I am up at Spirit River.

I have been sick for a couple of weeks.

I feel like that was a process of purging things.

Now the last couple of days I have had unlimited energy.

I moved a giant woodpile yesterday night.

Today, I continued moving it and cleaning it, and it’s completely gone.

As I worked, I had a vision to move the fire pit to this beautiful, sacred area, which I started to clear.

A friend came over and said, “Hey, I’ll come back and help you.” (The Universe sending collaborators!)

Then I got an idea for getting a particular picnic table for a certain area.

Things are being shifted.

Everything is getting tidied up.

I am preparing to offer this Otiwote Experience at SpiritRiver which I’ve never done before.

Suddenly, conditions have presented themselves for me to create this incredibly intimate experience right at my center!

I’m sharing this with you today because transformation, growth, expansion, and change can be confusing and painful until you realize you are being guided to something.

Then it becomes playful.

I’m enjoying the play of transformation.

I’m enjoying the play of knowing that I’m being guided versus “Things aren’t working”.

When you’re getting a course correction or new ideas, it’s because you are being guided in a different way, a better way.

What would it take for you to open yourself daily, to a level of humility, playfulness, and openness that allows you to be guided incrementally, so you don’t have to make huge course corrections?
