This is Anne, with your Coaching On The Go!

Shooting for a Vision that you have never experienced can be challenging for several reasons.

I’m asking you to define your quarterly goals and your goals for the rest of the year.

Wherever you are in your life, what is the next segment of time you’re interested in creating a short-term goal for, or a set of short-term goals that link up to your bigger, broader Vision?

Today. I’m just talking about the challenges that people face when they are even articulating a goal and a vision.

One is that there’s a lack of familiarity when you haven’t yet experienced a particular vision or outcome.

I’m asking you to go bigger than you’ve ever gone before.

You may struggle to imagine it. or to understand how to achieve it.

Familiarity breeds comfort and confidence, so pushing something entirely new and pursuing it, can feel daunting.

Another challenge is uncertainty when you’re pursuing something that you’ve never done before.

Guess what?

It’s accompanied by uncertainty, and with that, the fear of failure.

Without a clear road map or experience to rely on, a lot of people hesitate to take action.

The third challenge is limiting beliefs.

Belief in the attainability of our Vision is crucial for motivation and perseverance.

Without prior experience or evidence of this type of success, you may struggle to believe that it’s possible, leading you to doubt yourself, feel reluctant, and possibly procrastinate.

The fourth challenge is a lack of reference points.

Without personal experience or observed experiences to draw from, you can lack reference points to understand how to navigate it.

This is why I suggest that you look for people who’ve done something similar to what you’re doing right now or what you want to create so you can look for some clues there, and you can see that something similar has been created or something has been created and you’re gonna put your mark on a new version of it.

When you are goal setting and decision making it helps to have some reference points so that you can shoot at your Vision

The fourth challenge I wanna mention today is just your comfort zone.

People tend to gravitate towards what’s familiar and comfortable.

The part of yourself that likes consistency is looking for comfort looking for the familiar.

The part of you that craves diverse experiences and adventure is pursuing another type of vision, and it requires stepping out of your comfort zone, which can be very intimidating and uncomfortable to be out of your comfort zone.

Overcoming the challenges to creating a vision, something that you’ve never done before requires a combination of creativity, courage, resilience, willingness to embrace uncertainty, and setting smaller, more achievable goals along the way, can also help you gradually gain confidence and momentum In a vision that you’ve never experienced before.

Additionally, seek support from a coach like me, mentors, your peers in your peer coaching group, or from experts or people who’ve written biographies or people who’ve created the businesses and how they did it.

When you listen to entrepreneurs, like people who come to our events, who have had similar experiences, that can provide valuable guidance and keep you on the path towards your incredibly powerful Vision.

Have a beautiful day.
